DT100 can calculate the area of a square or rectangular room or space by measuring its length and width and multiplying the two values.

Tipps: 

1.As strong sunlight would weaken laser energy, which might influence the accuracy and measuring range, so we recommend you to avoid using in a direct sunlight. 

2.If have to use, we kindly recommend to put a smooth and opaque reflective plate at the target to improve the stability and accuracy of measurement, because the more smooth and opaque the surface is,the high reflectivity would be. It means the more light will be returned and the more easily it will be received by the laser measure.
